Harford County DUI Checkpoint Planned For 4th Of July Weekend
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — While authorities are always looking to keep the roads safer, this week they will be on the lookout in particular for impaired drivers in Harford County.
Deputies will conduct a checkpoint to look for those driving while intoxicated. The DUI checkpoint will take place in the evening hours on Friday, July 1, officials said.
Authorities did not disclose the location of the DUI checkpoint.
Giving public notice of the checkpoint is required by law.
In a Supreme Court case about the 4th and 14th Amendments, the court ruled that citizens' rights against unlawful search and seizure are not violated if checkpoints are publicized in advance.
