HdG Man Hospitalized After Stabbing In Cecil County: Police

NORTH EAST, MD — A Havre de Grace man is among four people injured in a stabbing that happened Wednesday night in Cecil County, according to police.

Officers were called to a mobile home park in North East, where they said several people had been arguing at a home in the 100 block of Lakeside Drive before 11:30 p.m.

The victims were identified as the following:

  • Zachary Guy, 27, of Orchard Beach, was flown by Maryland State Police helicopter to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where he is currently receiving treatment, police said Thursday.

Three other victims were taken to Christiana Hospital in Newark, Del.:

  • James Vandergrift II, 25, of Havre de Grace
  • Michael Fuller, 23, of Bear, Del.
  • Glenn Miller Jr., 39, of North East

“At this time, it is unknown who stabbed each of the individuals that were transported to the hospital,” Maryland State Police​ said in a statement Thursday. “Police do not believe there is any threat to the public at this time.”

Maryland State Police helped process the evidence at the crime scene, which officials said included a bat, two knives, a BB handgun and clothing.

Police said they received numerous calls about the incident at Lakeside, with various locations provided. When troopers arrived, they reported finding two men were in the street in one area with puncture wounds; a crowd was gathered around yelling; and two other men were down the street suffering from puncture wounds and blunt force trauma.

Charges may be filed pending the outcome of the investigation and consultation with the Cecil County State’s Attorney’s Office, according to police.
