HARFORD COUNTY - In an evening filled with gratitude and camaraderie, the Harford County Chamber of Commerce's Military Affairs Committee held its 12th annual "Spirit of Thanks" event on October 3rd at Hopkins Farm Brewery.

A celebration of the dedication and sacrifices of our military personnel and their families, the event also provided an avenue for the Harford County Chamber of Commerce to announce the relaunch of two veteran-centered programs.

The Harford Chamber has reintroduced "Operation Green Light," a national initiative emphasizing veteran resources available within the community, and "Pinwheels for Patriots," a unique Chamber initiative aimed at honoring and supporting our service members. As a token of appreciation, active duty and veteran service members present at the event were each gifted a complimentary pinwheel.

As Veterans' Day approaches, the Chamber encourages the community to honor our military service members. For a donation of $25, donors will receive a green light bulb, symbolizing participation in the Operation Green Light initiative, and a pinwheel accompanied by a recognition tag to pay tribute to a service member. A portion of the proceeds from this endeavor will benefit the veterans associated with the Perry Point VA Medical Center.
