HAVRE DE GRACE - Concord Point Park will come alive with vibrant colors and lively entertainment for the 5th annual Upper Chesapeake Bay Pride Festival on Saturday, October 7, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Aptly themed "Pride by the Tide," the festival promises an afternoon of inclusive fun, complete with live music and electrifying drag performances.
The free, family-centric event is set to showcase over 100 artists, vendors, and local non-profit organizations. Harford Community College, a long-time supporter, will once again serve as the festival's Presenting Sponsor. Joining the list of supporters this year are eight Host Sponsors, including APGFCU, Harford County Cultural Arts Board, and the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health.
Music enthusiasts are in for a treat with the event's headline performance by SONiA disappear fear. The Baltimore-born singer/songwriter has earned international acclaim for her diverse musical repertoire. As she gears up to launch her 23rd album this fall and an autobiography in 2024, the festival will offer a glimpse into her evocative artistry.
Adding glitter and glamour to the festivities, two renowned drag icons will host the event. Celebrated for their captivating performances and notable advocacy work in the Delmarva region, the dynamic duo is set to captivate the audience.
Since its inception in 2019, Upper Chesapeake Bay Pride has been a pillar of support for the LGBTQIA+ communities of Harford and Cecil Counties. For more information about the festival or the organization, visit UCB Pride's official website.

I was instructed in moral decency in public school. President Eisenhower saw moral decline and issued an executive order.
And I am so proud that Havre de Grace has the moral decency to support such a wonderful event! 😀
