Harford County Seeks Volunteer Community Member For Police Oversight Board

HARFORD COUNTY - The Harford County Council is seeking a volunteer to join the county's police accountability board.

The board's role is to review public grievances against the police and direct them to the appropriate law enforcement agencies for further investigation.

To be considered for the position, applicants must be at least 21 years old, residents of Harford County, and legal residents of the United States. Individuals currently serving in law enforcement are not eligible for the role.

According to the county, ideal candidates will have backgrounds in fields pertinent to the board's responsibilities, such as civil rights, law enforcement practices, policing standards, and criminology. Interested parties should send a letter detailing their interest and qualifications for the role.
