Tractor-Trailer Carrying Clothing Erupts In Flames, Shuts Down I-95 In Joppatowne

HARFORD COUNTY - A tractor-trailer fire shut down the southbound lanes of I-95 for several hours on Monday night, causing significant delays.

According to officials, a tractor-trailer carrying clothing caught fire around 5:30 p.m. near the Mountain Road exit in Joppatowne.

The Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company stated that a water tanker and the Harford hazmat team were called to assist with the incident.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire and accident remains under investigation.
