HARFORD COUNTY -  The popular Ma and Pa Trail running through Harford County will have increased security since slain mom of five Rachel Morin's body was found near the trail Aug. 6.

WBAL reports that the county will be installing cameras along the trail, especially in isolated spots including a dark tunnel. The Harford County Sheriff's Office has increased its presence along the trail since the discovery of Morin's body earlier this month.

"It's unfortunate that it takes a tragedy for us to recognize our vulnerabilities and address those," Harford County Executive Bob Cassilly said. "I want the trail to be used. I want it to remain the wonderful asset that it is for our community, and recognize in order to maintain that wonderful asset. We're going to have to put the money into putting the cameras there and maintaining an appropriate level of safety."

Cassily told WBAL that his team will be working with experts to purchase and install the cameras to cover the isolated spots.

"It's very enclosed, and you don't know if somebody's going to be coming up behind you or if you're going to run into somebody as soon as you come out," regular trail user Sydney Hash told WBAL.

Morin's family will host a celebration of life and a 5K walk and run Saturday at 11 a.m. at the trail.
