Fatal Single-Engine Plane Crash In Havre de Grace: Pilot Confirmed Dead

HAVRE DE GRACE - Authorities are investigating a plane crash in Havre de Grace on Tuesday night that resulted in the death of a pilot.

According to a Harford County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, police, fire, and emergency services responded to the 3600 block of Old Level Road around 7:15 p.m. for reports of a plane crash.

Following an exhaustive search of a nearby open field, officials located a single-engine airplane. The pilot and sole passenger of the plane was declared dead at the scene, according to Level Volunteer Fire Company.

No other injuries were reported, and the property incurred only slight damage.

Representatives from Level Volunteer Fire Company stated that the incident is currently under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
