Pennsylvania Resident Apprehended In Connection To Harford County Double Homicide

HARFORD COUNTY - A Pennsylvania resident has been arrested in connection with a fatal double shooting that occurred on Saturday night in Harford County.

Police said officers responded to the 1700 block of Scott Road, Pylesville, around 9 p.m. on Saturday. Timothy Wayne Witherite, 62, David Joseph Octavec, 70 residents of Pylesville, and a family dog were pronounced dead at the scene.

Approximately two hours after the incident, Steven Nolan, 53, a resident of Pennsylvania, was apprehended by the Pennsylvania State Police. Preliminary findings from the ongoing investigation suggest that Nolan fired upon Witherite within the residence, then shot Octavec outside the home before fleeing.

Currently, Nolan is being held in a Pennsylvania detention center awaiting his extradition to Maryland.
