HAVRE DE GRACE - The Somerset Manor neighborhood in Havre de Grace is preparing to welcome families to its 10th annual Summer Jam Family Fun Day on June 24, from noon to 4:00 PM. The block party-style event at 101 Stansbury Court promises an afternoon of entertainment and activities designed for all ages.

Attendees can expect a day filled with carnival-style games with prizes, a moon bounce, face painting, and various food concessions. In addition, health screenings will be available, and vendor booths will provide information about local businesses, services, and programs. The event is free to enter and open to all.

The games, ranging from the ever-popular duck pond and ring toss to new challenges, can be played at a rate of 10 games for a dollar. Face painting and moon bouncing are free of charge. Classic fair treats like snow cones, cotton candy, and popcorn will be available for two dollars each. Additionally, DJ Droopy will provide musical entertainment.

Various vendors and community resource groups, including APGFCU, Harford County Health Department, Harford County Office on Aging, Havre de Grace Police, Susquehanna Hose Company, and more, have signed on to support the event.

"Our residents eagerly anticipate Summer Jam each year. It's an excellent opportunity for visitors to experience our neighborhood and for everyone to interact, play, dance, and learn about the resources available in the area," Nicki Biggs, acting executive director of HDGHA, said.
