28 National Carson Scholars Named At Harford County Public Schools

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Seven Harford County Public Schools students are new Carson Scholars for 2023 and 22 students have renewed their Carson Scholars status.

The Carson Scholars Fund awards $1,000 college scholarships to students in grades fourth through 11th who excel academically and are dedicated to serving their communities. Scholarship winners receive the honor of being named Carson Scholars and are given an Olympic-sized medal and a trophy for keep at their school. Students are selected from across the country.

The seven new scholars at HCPS are:

  • Genevieve Brewah, Grade 4
  • Omo Imode, Grade 11
  • Robert Jones III, Grade 5
  • Callum Marchena, Grade 5
  • Gwyneth Pappano, Grade 5
  • Carson Phelps, Grade 5
  • Ryan Wiggins, Grade 5

The Harford County 2023 renewed scholars are:
