HARFORD COUNTY - Six puppies died in an accidental fire in Harford County on Sunday, according to officials.
Firefighters from the Bel Ait Volunteer Fire Company responded to reports of a shed fire around 3:00 p.m. near Harrington Road.
Thirty firefighters worked for ten minutes to control the blaze that had broken out in an 8x8 wood-framed shed. According to officials, the shed was housing six 8-week-old puppies.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the fire was caused by a heat lamp that had been placed in the shed to keep the puppies warm.
