ABERDEEN - A Harford County woman has been charged with assault and trespassing for allegedly assaulting a middle school student.

According to Aberdeen Police, 41-year-old Kelly Sadik was allowed to enter Aberdeen Middle School around 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday after speaking with staff through the buzzer.

Instead of proceeding to the office, Sadik headed to the seventh-grade area of the school, which she was not permitted to do.

Police said that Sadik found and confronted a seventh-grade student who she said had been harassing her daughter. The confrontation escalated, and as the student turned to leave, Sadik allegedly grabbed them, leaving a bruise on their arm.

According to officials, a teacher quickly took notice and intervened.

Sadik has been charged with second-degree assault and trespassing in connection to the incident.
