Mobile Home Fire Displaces Two Abingdon Residents

ABINGDON - A mobile home in Abingdon was completely destroyed in a fire on Saturday afternoon.

The Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company responded to reports of a house fire on the 3700 block of Pulaski Hwy. Smoke was billowing from the one-story home by the time firefighters arrived on the scene.

Fire officials are continuing to investigate the cause of the incident, and the Office of the State Fire Marshal has not yet released an estimate of the damage.

No injuries were reported from the fire, according to the company.

Joppa Magnolia VFC says the Red Cross is helping the residents who were displaced in the fire.
