HAVRE DE GRACE - At Tuesday's meeting of the Harford County Council, members adopted a bond resolution funding school construction and approved a bill that would update the county code.

The resolution authorized up to $50 million in bonds to pay for county infrastructure projects, including the replacement of Havre de Grace High School and the Joppatowne High School renovation. Some of these funds are also intended to improve and renovate school athletic fields across the county.

The council also approved a bill updating the county code's legislative branch section. The bill would update provisions for removing council members and substitute gender-neutral language for gendered language in the code.

If adopted, this resolution would revise parts of the county code to align with changes made by previous bills and charter amendments.
