HARFORD COUNTY - Public hearings will help decide the rates for the new I-95 Express Toll Lane scheduled to open in 2024.

Officials have said that the schedule for the public hearings will be announced soon, with the first hearing expected in early 2023.

The MTA is seeking feedback on how much the tolls should be, where the toll lane should start, and more.

The ongoing project will add 12 miles of new I-95 express toll lanes running from the MD 43 interchange in Baltimore County to MD 24 in Harford County.

The new toll lanes are a part of the $1.1 billion Northbound Extension project that began in 2019.

Part of the new extension to MD 152 is expected to open by the end of 2024, with the rest opening by the end of 2027.
