HAVRE DE GRACE - The new Harford County administration will be sworn into office starting this week.
The County’s new clerk of the circuit court, Michelle Karczeski, will be sworn in on Thursday at a private ceremony at the Harford County Courthouse. As the clerk, she must be the first to take office to swear in the other members of the new administration.
Bob Cassily will be sworn in as Harford County executive on Monday at noon, along with Jacob Bennet and the remaining members of the Harford County Council. Their inauguration ceremony will occur at APG Federal Credit Union Arena in Bel Air.
Bob Cassily sent out a news release saying that “there are plenty of seats available for anyone who would like to attend.”
Harford County Board of Education members will be sworn in on Monday at 5:30 during a public meeting.
Havre de Grace Police are investigating a vandalism spree that destroyed Christmas decorations at a local park.
Officials sent out a social media post saying they had received multiple reports of an unknown suspect(s) vandalizing property in the city parks of Havre de Grace.
Police have also received reports of vandalism on the promenade.
On Tuesday night, Christmas decorations were torn down and destroyed at the gazebo in Millard Tydings Memorial Park
