PORT DEPOSIT - Perryville firefighters fell through the floor of a Port Deposit home while battling a fire on Thursday.
According to the Office of the State Fire Marshal, firefighters responded to 225 Principio Road in Port Deposit around 2:35 p.m. on Thursday for reports of a house fire.
Officials say no one was injured in the fire.
It took 25 firefighters from the Community Fire Company of Perryville around 20 minutes to extinguish the blaze. The Office of the State Fire Marshal says the fire caused around $150,000 in damages to the one-story home.
While fighting the fire, two firefighters fell through the living room floor and into the home's basement. Both were rescued and evaluated by EMS. According to the Office of the State Fire Marshal, the firefighters refused transport to an area hospital.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but officials said it started in the living room.
Friends and family are assisting the owner of the home.
