HARFORD COUNTY - Harford County Police are searching for a trespasser who started a garage fire on Wednesday shortly before 4 a.m. at 343 Carter Street in Aberdeen.

The State Fire Marshals Office has determined that a garage was intentionally set on fire, damaging a vehicle inside and a nearby house.

According to officials, it took only a few minutes for the team of 12 firefighters to get the blaze under control. Nevertheless, a one-car garage with an attached shed was destroyed, and a 2004 Volvo inside was burned. According to the Aberdeen Fire Department, a neighbor's garage and vehicle also were damaged in the fire.

No injuries were reported, and the fire department estimates damages at $100,000 of total loss. The fire department said that a neighbor discovered the blaze, and deputy state fire marshals recovered evidence of a suspect trespassing on the property.

Investigators were assisted by K9 Kachina, according to the fire department.
