ReplyIt takes a bit of skill to be able to strategically ditch a bike. You have to stay calm and turn off the instinct to avoid scratching the bike and I know guys with bikes that's the hardest part.

ReplyWho authorized ingress/egress from this new shopping center onto 152? I'm telling you right now - promise you it will end up a cluster. You have to go across 2 lanes of traffic in a hurry to go north; some in much too much a hurry trying to make the light at Belair and 152. Gonna be smash up time...

There's much truth in that. There's been a lot of traffic accidents in that same neighborhood including more than one fatal so the police are tasked with finding ways to get the traffic under control too - if statistics for injury aren't reduced the county stands to lose money from the feds for road building and maintenance. That's not to say it might not be a good idea to do random foot patrols so as to turn the lights on the roaches once in awhile. I still support handing out tickets in that area as well. Don't speed and act reckless you won't be ticketed/taxed - the county is short on funds so expect more aggressive ticketing.

I have friends in Abingdon that want out because the disease is creeping quickly into Abingdon now too. The coupe de gras will be the Walmart at Plumtree - fate will then be sealed as to the decline of that side of town from the Walmart all the way down the 24 corridor and to 95.

ReplyI have my doubts that robberies have much if anything to do with paying the rent or buying food.

ReplyThat shopping center and the entire neighborhood around it are in danger of being know as the bad side of town and all because of one apartment complex. How long you think Safeway stays there when they lose customers due to fear...what then moves in there? I'm bettin' something like Aldi's so you'll end up with a shopping center that includes a liquor store, Aldi's, The Dollar Store and a bunch of empty storefronts...Sensations and the rest of them move out and what do you have then? Voila you have Edgewood.

Really so you rented and never cleaned up anything nor were friendly with the neighbors because I'm guessing in your mind it's not yours so who cares? There are plenty of people who rent and plant flowers, clean up trash and mow the grass just because they don't want to live in a dump. The condition of section 8 housing and what it is defines the sorts of people that end up living there and is a much better explanation for the crime and filth that usually associates. People that aren't bums will clean up and not rob their neighbors even if they rent.

That's great for Country Life Farms and the Pons family for most assuredly that will put Mr. Moon's services at a premium. An entire farm can be sustained with the services of just one much in demand fella. I was told by experts at Three Chimney's in Lexington that a good stallion can go 6 times a day...and at $70,000 each; you do the numbers!
