City Council to Vote Again on School Police Budget
The mayor of Havre de Grace proposes reallocating $63,200 in property taxes to allow for two officers in schools from March to June.
The Havre de Grace City Council will vote on budgeting for police in city schools for the second time in two weeks. A proposal to dedicate two additional police officers in Havre de Grace schools passed at the council's Jan. 7 meeting. It effectively doubled the city's school resource officer force, as there were two such officers in 2012 and there are four in 2013.
