Volunteers, Contractor Building Home For Veteran
Homes For Troops will outfit SSG Kelly Keck with a new home in Havre de Grace.
SSG Kelly Keck lost his right leg in Afghanistan. In Havre de Grace, Keck is being given a home. The Homes For Troops program is beginning a new home construction for Keck and his family at 3406 Old Level Road outside of Havre de Grace. The construction starts Friday and will run through the weekend. Portions of Old Level Road will be closed for the project. Volunteers can park at the Level Fire House. The project will be lead by general contractor Bob Ward Companies, Inc., of Edgewood. The new home will replace the Keck family's townhome, where SSG Keck struggles to maneuver in a wheelchair and to constantly go up and down the steps.
