Thunderstorms in HdG's Thursday Forecast

The brunt of the severe weather is anticipated in late afternoon and evening.

The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for most of Maryland, including Harford County, Thursday afternoon. Severe thunderstorms, which may produce strong winds and hail, could sweep through Havre de Grace and surrounding areas, according to the weather service. The forecast shows that 4 to 10 p.m. Thursday is when the storms are most likely to occur. A small craft advisory is in effect Thursday and Friday on the Chesapeake Bay.

A watch means it is probable a tornado will happen; a warning is when it is imminent, according to the National Weather Service. The forecast shows heavy rain, along with strong winds and thunderstorms, will move through the area as a cold-front approaches. Havre de Grace Weather: Chances of Rain This Week

A thunderstorm is in the forecast for Friday.

Rain is back in the picture in this week's forecast. Showers are possible nearly the entire week, according to the National Weather Service forecast for the area. Highs won't get above the low 70s. The highest possibility of rain is on Friday, where the forecast calls for a 60 percent chance of thunderstorms, but the clouds should start to clear up starting Saturday, according to the forecast. The Orioles are back in action Tuesday evening against the Tampa Bay Rays as they start a nine-game homestand. Rain delays may be possible later in the week.

April Brings Cool Temps to HdG

Temperatures will range from the 30s to 50s this week.

This week in Havre de Grace, daytime temperatures will be in the 40s and 50s, dropping to the 30s at night, according to the National Weather Service. Havre de Grace Roads Remain Clear after Snow

The deputy director of the city's Department of Public Works provided an update after Monday's snowfall.

According to the National Weather Service, one to four inches of snow may fall in Havre de Grace on Monday. A winter weather advisory was in effect until noon, meaning travel may be difficult due to limited visibility and dangerous conditions on the roads. By 10 a.m., the city's department of public works reported that roads were looking good. "We have the A-Team of snow removal crews!" Havre de Grace Deputy Director Joe Conaway told Patch. Havre de Grace Weather: Snow in Monday's Forecast

The National Weather Service reports a wintry mix is heading Maryland's way.

UPDATE (7:52 a.m.)—The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Harford County and much of the state until noon Monday. Temperatures will drop in Havre de Grace, with a high of 37 degrees Monday and a 100 percent chance of snow and rain. Accumulation should be one to three inches in Havre de Grace, according to the forecast. Snow will taper off by the afternoon. There's a slight chance of snow before midnight and a 20 percent chance of light snow Tuesday. Harford County schools are closed Monday and the county government is operating on a two-hour delay. Chesapeake Bay Under Coastal Flood Advisory

Havre de Grace may see some abnormal tides Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service issued a coastal flood advisory for areas of Maryland along the Chesapeake Bay Sunday, including Havre de Grace. At high tide, water levels may be two feet higher than normal and flood low-lying coastal areas, according to the advisory.
