Havre de Grace Alumna Killed Driving Wrong Way on Beltway
Two people were killed in a crash Sunday night near the Curtis Creek drawbridge.
A head-on collision Sunday night on Interstate 695, near the Curtis Creek drawbridge, claimed two lives, including that of a Havre de Grace High School graduate and a White Marsh toddler. Victoria DeAngelo, 21, drove her Chevrolet Cobalt the wrong direction on the outer loop of I-695 at about 10 p.m. Sunday. She then crashed into a Hyundai Santa Fe at 10:01 p.m., according to Sgt. Jonathan Green, a Maryland Transportation Authority Police spokesman. DeAngelo, who is from Darlington and was living in Dundalk, was pronounced dead at the scene, Green confirmed.
