The Railroaders boys soccer team plays for the state title after beating the Warriors.
The Havre de Grace boys soccer team concluded its fall season Saturday with a loss against Brunswick at the state semifinals. The Warriors fell to the Railroaders, 2-0, at the Nov. 10 game at North County High School in Glen Burnie. The Brunswick Railroaders will play the Washington Jaguars in the Class 1A state championship Nov. 15 to 17 at UMBC. Did you go to Saturday's game? Havre de Grace travels to Anne Arundel County Saturday for the class 1A tournament.
The Havre de Grace Warriors boys soccer team will face off against the Brunswick Railroaders Saturday, vying for a chance at the state finals. Heading into the semifinals, Brunswick's record is 16-1-1, and Havre de Grace enters the game with a record of 8-9, according to conference sponsor Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association. Both teams will travel for the Nov. 10 game, which will be at North County High School (10 E. 1st Ave.) in Glen Burnie. The game starts at noon Saturday. Soccer players from Havre de Grace wore pink socks at an Oct. 17 game.
The Havre de Grace girls soccer team is getting a leg up on women's health. The team wore pink socks in its game against North East on Oct. 17 to raise awareness about breast cancer. "All of the parents were proud of their daughter’s support of such a worthy cause," said Michele Nye, whose twin daughters are on the Warriors soccer team.
