The Havre de Grace girls soccer team is on a roll. The Warriors won for the fourth straight time Monday, toppling Elkton, 4-2, behind a balanced attack. » Have photos of the win? Havre de Grace High School senior Brittney Anderson and her Warriors soccer teammates are off to a strong start in 2012. Havre de Grace—which won its first game in three-plus seasons last fall—reeled off three straight wins recently. The Warriors visit Elkton at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Havre de Grace defeated Bo Manor Monday for its third consecutive victory.
Lauren Herrington scored twice and Rachel Rossi had two assists as the Havre de Grace girls soccer team won its third straight game Monday. The Warriors defeated Bo Manor, 4-1. Herrington led the way on offense. Addie Richardson and Jill Larrimore also scored for the Warriors. Helen Boniface and Kara Neiberlein added assists for the Warriors. Riley Arnold and Margaret Stump shared time in the goal, combining for nine saves. Havre de Grace improved to 3-4 with the win. The Warriors visit Elkton at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Havre de Grace heads into the weekend on an upswing after Thursday's win.
The girls soccer team at Havre de Grace won one game in four years. The Warriors won two this week. Havre de Grace used a three-goal first half to pull away from Joppatowne in a 4-0 win Thursday. "The win saw every girl getting playing time," Warriors coach Randy Cypher said in an email to Patch. Have photos or video from the win? Share them by posting them on this article. Havre de Grace won once last year after three winless seasons.
Havre de Grace's girls soccer team is off to a strong start—already equalling the number of wins the program earned over the past four years combined. The Warriors defeated Perryville, 1-0, in a physical game Monday night, breaking through on Rachel Rossi's goal with 16 minutes remaining. The sophomore drove home a rebound amid a flurry of shots in front of the Perryville goal. "It was just hard aggression, attacking the goal. It was nothing pretty. We finally pushed it through," Warriors coach Randy Cypher said. Cypher said the Warriors created a number of shots Monday, though many were at the Perryville keeper, or not on goal. With the Havre de Grace High School girls Warrior soccer team coming off a huge win in their play day against Aberdeen High School, Madeleine Larrimore, looks forward to the season ahead as the girls keep improving.
