Havre de Grace's fall clean-up continues on Saturday.
Havre de Grace has added a paper shredder to Saturday's fall clean-up event at the community center. City spokesman John Van Gilder told Patch Tuesday the city has contracted a large paper shredder to allow residents to safely rid themselves of documents. Van Gilder said the shredding option is a crime prevention measure for residents. The second of a pair of fall clean-up days will be held from 8 a.m. until noon on Sept. 29 at the Havre de Grace Community Center. The site—located at 100 Lagaret Lane—will have multiple dumpsters on both days to assist residents in cleaning clutter from their homes. Residents—who must show proof of residency, such as a driver's license—may drop off tires (off the rim), mattresses, electronics, clothing, …

The lighthouse and the County Administration Building at 220 South Main Street will be lit up pink for the entire month. “Harford County Government is once again proud to partner with the Maryland Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the City of Havre de Grace in our on-going effort to heighten awareness of the serious health …
