Walking Out on Taxi Fare Lands HdG Man in Jail

Police say Michael Jerome Walton was violent inside a taxi, but was later arrested without incident.

A Havre de Grace man who was riding in a taxi is facing charges that he got into a violent argument with a woman passenger and then bailed on the cab fare, according to police.  Michael Jerome Walton, 55, of the 800 block of Lafayette St., was charged with theft of less than $100, attempted robbery and second-degree assault, according to online court records. He is being held at the Harford County Detention Center. Police said that at 4:34 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24, a cab driver picked up Walton and a female passenger in Aberdeen. The pair requested transport to the 800 block of Lafayette St. In the area near Sparkles Laundromat, Walton began arguing with the woman in the cab and demanded money from her, according to police.  Police said …

Havre de Grace Crime: Hospital Assault, Burglary Arrests

From the Havre de Grace Police Department: ———    South Union Avenue, 500 block, 1:04 p.m. on Oct. 3. Alexander Hines, 33, of the 100 block of North Park Street in Aberdeen, was arrested and charged with second degree assault. Hines allegedly assaulted an employee at Harford Memorial Hospital following an argument about emergency room services. Lafayette Street, 600 block, 3:37 a.m. on Oct. 3. Asante Diallobe Anderson, 36, of the 2800 block of Winchester Street in Baltimore, and Megan Nicole Murphy, 30, of the 900 block of Gilbert Road in Aberdeen were arrested and charged with burglary. Havre de Grace Crime: Vandalism, Thefts

From the Havre de Grace Police Department: ———   Temperence Hill Way, 500 block, 10:45 a.m. on Sept. 30. Vandalism was reported in two neighboring yards while residents were on vacation. A flag was taken from one yard, and a lamp was broken in the other yard. Remington Circle, 100 block, 6:20 p.m. on Sept. 29. Justin Keith Leon, 23, of the 1000 block of Main Street in Fallston, was arrested on a warrant through the Harford County Sheriff’s Office for violation of probation. Otsego Street, 700 block, 3:06 p.m. on Sept. 29. An auto repair tool, valued at $600, was reported stolen from outside a home. The victim told police he was working on a vehicle on Sept. 28 and left a Snap-on impact driver on the vehicle. The next day it was missing. …

Shirley Theresa Justice, 59, of the 1000 block of Foxchase Lane in Essex, was arrested on an active warrant through the Maryland Transportation Authority Police for failure to appear. Justice also was charged by Havre de Grace police for driving on a suspended license. Old Post Road, 1300 block, 7:17 p.m. on Sept. 23. A concrete portion of a bridge was vandalized with spray paint. Havre de Grace Crime: Cash, License Plate Stolen

Richard James Brooks, 46, of the 1200 block of Penn Street in Washington, DC was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Montgomery County for failure to appear. Revolution Street, 600 block, 1:31 a.m. on Sept. 12. Police responded to the report of a robbery to find that the victim falsely reported the incident. The investigation is ongoing. Pearl Street, 600 block, 9:41 p.m. on Sept. 11. A temporary license plate was taken from a vehicle following a verbal dispute. Police located the tag on Maryland Route 155. From the Havre de Grace Police Department: ———   Bay Boulevard, 100 block, 9:04 p.m. on Sept. 8. Robert James Baker, 50, of the 100 block of Bay Boulevard, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. Officers initially responded to the 400 block of Battery Drive, where Baker allegedly struck a building with his vehicle before fleeing. The building sustained minor damage, and no injuries were reported. Bourbon Street, 700 block, 3:23 a.m. on Sept. 8. Michael James Defilippo, 49, of the unit block of Ford Hill Road in Port Deposit, was arrested for violation of parole out of New York. From the Havre de Grace Police Department: ———  South Washington Street, 100 block, 11:02 p.m. on Aug. 26. A resident reported seeing three males tampering with a vehicle in the area of Lodge Lane. Police responded, but the suspects had left the area. No items were reported stolen, but there were signs that someone had gone through the vehicle. Lafeyette Street, 800 block, 1:10 p.m. on Aug. 26. A vehicle was left abandoned after initially being reported stolen. The victim let an acquaintance—known to the victim only by a first name—to borrow his  vehicle.
