UPDATE (10:12 p.m.)—A crash Thursday night shut down MD Route 1 at the Conowingo Dam for more than two hours. According to the Maryland Department of Transportation, the collision involved four vehicles. It was reported at approximately 7:30 p.m. Thursday. All lanes of US 1 had been shut down at 7:44 p.m. and remained closed until approximately 10 p.m. As of 8:30 p.m., Conowingo Road was closed at Shuresville Road on the Darlington side of the dam, and at MD Route 222 on the Conowingo side, said Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire & EMS Association. Traffic was closed for a crash investigation before 7 a.m. Thursday in the Churchville area.
UPDATED (9:20 a.m.)—MD Route 136 was closed to traffic Thursday morning after a serious crash in the Churchville area and may remain closed until noon. One person was killed in the crash, WBAL and ABC 2 News are reporting. The crash, which occurred on the 300 block of Priestford Road, left at least one person with "grave injuries," according to Rich Gardiner, spokesperson for the Harford County Fire & EMS Association. One person was taken by land to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center after the two-vehicle crash, according to The Baltimore Sun. UPDATE (10 a.m.)—U.S. Route 1 reopened at 10 a.m. after a crash on the Conowingo Dam blocked access early Monday morning, officials said. The road connecting Cecil and Harford was closed to traffic in both directions after a crash at 6 a.m. Monday. The collision involved a car and a truck, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association. Volunteers extricated two people and took them to a local hospital, Gardiner said. Crashes snarled traffic along I-95, MD Route 22 and US Route 40 between Aberdeen and Havre de Grace.
Three incidents around the Interstate 95 corridor between Aberdeen and Havre de Grace led to delays on the roads Friday morning. In addition to a vehicle fire near Havre de Grace on I-95, there were two tractor-trailer rollovers in the Aberdeen area, resulting in the closure of the ramp from eastbound MD Route 22 to eastbound US Route 40 for approximately one hour. The Aberdeen Police Department reported the ramp from Route 22 to Route 40 was reopened at 10:37 a.m. As the incidents happened, Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association spokesman Rich Gardiner was tweeting out the details. A crash on the Hatem Bridge caused delays Friday morning as drivers were heading to work. Before 8:57 a.m., a crash eastbound on US Route 40 was reported with injuries, according to Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS spokesman Rich Gardiner. Maryland Department of Transportation reported that all lanes on eastbound Route 40 were closed following the accident. All lanes had reopened at 9:20 a.m., according to the Maryland Transportation Authority.

Six people were injured in a crash Saturday evening in Jarrettsville. Harford County Fire & EMS Association spokesman Rich Gardiner, via posts on Twitter and Facebook, said the accident took place at the intersection of Baldwin Mill Road (MD Route 165) and Centennial Oaks Drive. Four ambulances were called to the scene for varying injuries, none of which were life-threatening, Gardiner said. The inital post came around 5:40 p.m., and indicated three ambulances were en route to the crash, which involved a minor entrapment. Westbound lanes of U.S. Route 40 will be closed and detoured at MD Route 715 this week. The Maryland State Highway Administration will close the lanes between 11 p.m. on Wednesday and 5 a.m. Thursday, and again from 11 p.m. Thursday until 5 a.m. on Friday. Traffic will be re-routed onto the ramp that leads from Route 40 West to MD 715 North, then onto the ramp from 715 North to Route 40 West. Eastbound U.S. Route 40 will remain opened. The closure allows for the widening of the overpass that carries MD Route 715 over U.S. Route 40. The bridge will be expanded from two lanes to four.
