The Harford County Executive has a tour of events scheduled from June 3 to June 4.
David Craig is planning to tour key spots in Maryland early in June and it all begins from his front yard in Havre de Grace. Craig, considered a potential Republican candidate for governor in 2014, recently scheduled a series of events from June 3 to 4, beginning on the front lawn of his Congress Avenue home in Havre de Grace. Craig's campaign spokesman Josh Wolf declined to comment specifically on the events, but did confirm Craig would be embarking on a three-day series of events, kicking off in Havre de Grace. As for the "important announcement" planned for the tour, Wolf said: "Everyone is going to have to wait and join us on June 3 in Havre de Grace." David Craig wrote Gov. Martin O'Malley to question state funding for Harford County Public Schools.
Harford County Executive David Craig said he would like to meet with the governor to discuss why Harford County Public Schools will receive the biggest cut in funding of any municipality in this year's budget. Craig submitted a letter to Gov. Martin O'Malley—a copy of which is published here—to discuss public school funding. The initial proposal calls for Harford County to receive $12.9 million in state funding for school projects. Craig said that figure represents more than a $4 million cut from last year's funding. Harford County's first head of emergency services will be announced on Tuesday. County Executive David R. Craig said Friday the head of the county's new Department of Emergency Services would be unveiled in a formal announcement Tuesday morning in the Harford County Council Chambers. Craig issued an executive order to create the department in 2012 after it was recommended by the Harford County Fire & EMS Commission and the Harford County Public Safety Commission, according to Craig's office. Harford County Executive David Craig will hold the hearing Monday at Aberdeen High School.
Harford County Executive David Craig has rescheduled a budget hearing that was postponed after poor weather last week. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Feb. 11 at Aberdeen High School, in the auditorium. The meeting, originally slated for Jan. 28, was postponed following winter weather-related school closings. The meeting has been arranged to allow for public input on the budget, which will be presented to the Harford County Council on April 1, 2013, according to the County Executive's office. The Monday meeting will be rescheduled due to winter weather and school closings.
Thanks to poor weather and related school closings in Harford County, a budget meeting scheduled for Monday has been postponed. Originally slated to be held Monday night at Aberdeen High School, the meeting regarding the FY 2014 budget "will be rescheduled in the near future," Harford County Executive David Craig announced Monday morning. The hearing, planned for 6 p.m., was to feature Craig and other members of county staff. It was to allow for public input on the budget, which will be presented to the Harford County Council on April 1, 2013, according to the County Executive's office.
