Messages of love, shock and sympathy were nonstop Monday after Benjamin Boniface died in an early morning accident on his family's farm.
Harford County residents expressed an outpouring of shock, sadness and support on social media Monday and Tuesday after learning of the sudden death of county council president Billy Boniface's son, Benjamin. Reactions ranged from sympathetic to "absolutely heartbroken," as Andrew Stetka stated on Facebook. Dozens of messages went out through Facebook and Twitter with John Carroll School graduates remembering their fellow alum and friends and acquaintances of the family offering condolences. Harford County Council members are mourning the loss Council President William Boniface's son, Ben, who died in car accident Monday. "I knew Ben personally, he usually would drive me and Billy, his father, and Senator [Barry] Glassman in the Darlington Parade," said Councilman Chad Shrodes. "He’s been our driver for the past several years, and that's this Saturday." UPDATED (1:05 p.m.)—The son of Harford County Council President Billy Boniface died in an early morning vehicle accident Monday on the family's farm in Darlington. A prelimintary investigation revealed Benjamin Boniface, 20, died when the 1994 Ford pick-up truck he was driving struck a series of fence posts along a private road on Bonita Farm in the 3700 block of Harmony Church Road, according to a statement from the Harford County Sheriff's Office. Parts of the fence broke through the windshield of the truck, injuring Boniface, according to an emailed statement from sheriff's office spokesperson Monica Worrell.
