The Recreation Committee manages the parks, fields and various activities that take place in town. The Committee's Recreation Specialist is Karen Green. The Activity Center also houses the Boys & Girls Club and hosts various events throughout the year, including the Decoy Festival.

Built in 1994, Division 4 is located on Revolution Street in front of Havre de GraceMore Middle School. House 4 is home to Engine 514 and Rescue 551, and is led by 1st Assistant Chief Wayne Carroll and Captain Jimbo Sampson.

The smallest of the Harford County Public School System's nine high schools, Havre de Grace High is proud of itsMore diversity and its close-knit community. The two-building campus straddles Congress Avenue, which is closed during school hours. The three-story main building houses all the academic classrooms, including the science department, computer labs, and an art and tech wing. The main office, nurse's office, athletic director's office, library and cafeteria are also located in the main building. Across Congress Avenue is the gymnasium and auditorium, which houses the school's award-winning music department, widely considered the best music program and auditorium in the county. The school's athletic complex is situated on the opposite side of Juniata Street, and stretches to the nearby Middle School complex. The school is under the leadership of principal Patricia Walling.
