Saint Patricks Church is among the most picturesque in Havre de Grace. Led by Reverend William J. O'Brien, the Catholic church has been open since 1847, but has expanded significantly in the last decade. The Church property also contains St. Patrick's Hall, a rental hall with a 350 person capacity, suitable for weddings, receptions, private parties, and more.

(part 2) This man who worked for the church made two of my family members (typically jolly people, and also sober) reach a boiling point with his rude and arrogant comments, that people had to hold them back from approaching this guy. I’m reluctant to say that this was a racist act. We are a colored family and he was white. He later approached my date (Caucasian), thinking that he was not related to the rest of us and proceeded to same some insulting comments about my family. I walked out in tears. My family was so upset. My mother was crying on her son’s wedding day being verbally harassed by a fat, sweaty man and having to ultimately waste weeks of effort and thousand of dollars down the drain. Needless to say, we will not be doing business with this hall anymore and I only hope that this man who represented the church that night is permanently terminated.
My review will be cut into 2 (part 1): Saint Patrick Hall in Havre De Grace was an absolutely horrible experience. I am not saying anything bad about the church or even the hall but the unprofessionalism of their employees in beyond belief. In my situation, there really was only one person who ruined the night for me and my entire family. He was a large, bald, old man, with a black eye in raggedy clothes, similar to the look of a homeless Santa Claus. He went by the name “Captain” Richard Jones… if that’s even his real name, we will never know. We had never even seen or met this guy during the planning process. This disoriented man who worked for the church came in 2 hours prior to when the wedding and tried to kick us all out and proceeded to be the rudest person to the wait staff, caterers, bartenders, guests, and my ENTIRE family. Not to mention, that this was my brother’s wedding reception.
