Definitely 5 stars, not only for the really cool and unique merchandise, but my family really appreciates that all items are fair trade. No sweat shop exploitation here.

A clever shop with a clever name. Doodads has a lot of, well, Doodads. The selection at the "Global 'Fair Trade' Gallery" includes coffee, tea, local-made jewelry and a variety of other knick knacks. Owned by Becky Collins, the shop offers a unique selection of gift-worthy items and fits in nicely with the city's arts and entertainment district.

This is one of those places that requires slow, careful browsing, or you're liable to miss a treasure! Some of my recent purchases include hypoallergenic alpaca slipper socks, all cotton crew socks, cool holiday CDs that you can't find anywhere else, and marvelous jewelry. Prices are very reasonable, and you can feel good about supporting Doodads Fair Trade policies. Beware: when you go in looking for that special gift, you'll find it for sure...and something for yourself as well.
