The Oct. 4 First Friday is an outdoor street festival sponsored by Main Street, from 5 to 9 p.m. in the downtown business district. This month's event will have a spooky twist. The new Havre de Haunts tours will showcase the supernatural side of Havre de Grace with stories of the city's haunted past.
SaturdayVisit the Havre de Grace Farmers Market on Pennington Avenue from 9 a.m. to noon as it enters its final month of the season. Market manager Scott Wallace reports on the current offerings: "Flying Plow Farm still has lots of great fall veggies. Also Level Farm Beef, Keyes Creamery, The Susquehanna Sweets Shoppe, and the bread ladies will be there this Saturday."

Don't be surprised to hear some ruckus over by the Havre de Grace Decoy Museum, where the Susquehanna Flats Classic will host a bird calling competition at this annual wildfowl enthusiast event. There will be decoys for sale, a swap meet, conservation groups on-site and more. The museum will be open during the event, which lasts from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 215 Giles St.
Save some money for the evening! Community members organizing the Havre de Grace High School's homecoming parade are holding a quarter auction fundraiser at the Perryville Outlet Center (68 Heather Ln.), where doors open at 5:30 and the bidding starts at 7 p.m. Mention the parade at the door!
SundayBill Bateman's of Havre de Grace hosts an Octoberfest for the Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce during the Ravens/Dolphins game. There will be a tailgate buffet, silent auction and corn hole as well as 50/50 raffles. At noon, the buffet opens, with wings, burgers, hot dogs, Old Bay Brats, German potato salad, nacho bar and select drafts. Buy tickets online from the Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are $40 and include beer tasting, food and raffle tickets. Pre-game begins at 11 a.m. with kickoff at 1 p.m. at 2012 Pulaski Hwy.
From noon to 3 p.m., check out the Level Volunteer Fire Company's annual open house at 3633 Level Rd. There will a live auto extrication and auto fire demonstration, free face painting, fire engine rides, a moon bounce, raffle and presence from Maryland State Police, Sparky the Fire Dog and the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
