Also on Thursday, the city's history museums welcome trick or treaters, who can visit multiple locations for stories and special surprises. Admission is $1 to each venue, and the Lock House Museum, Steppingstone Museum, Concord Point Lighthouse and Havre de Grace Maritime Museum are participating.
Helping OthersJazz, dinner and a silent auction are on tap at Bulle Rock on Friday for the Beacon of Hope fundraiser for the Havre de Grace Housing Authority. Tickets are $35; purchase them here.
Chow down on Friday at the Elks Spaghetti Dinner. The $10 ticket for spaghetti, bread, wine/soda and salad will go toward the Elks' annual Christmas basket program that provides support for more than 75 families.
The Havre de Grace Ambulance Corps hosts its annual pig roast this weekend from 6–8 p.m. Saturday to raise money for the corps. Tickets are $30 and only available to those over 18 years old.
Government MattersOn Monday and Thursday nights, the Planning Board reviews proposed changes to the city's zoning at 7 p.m. At the Oct. 28 meeting, the board will also discuss a specific zoning issue involving a converted garage on Water Street. Meetings are at Havre de Grace City Hall; 711 Pennington Ave.
