With schools and Aberdeen Proving Ground open Wednesday in Harford County, officials said drivers should be extra cautious due to chillier temperatures.
There's a high of 30 degrees and a low of 18 Wednesday in Havre de Grace, according to the National Weather Service.
Aberdeen Proving Ground announced that it would be open Dec. 11 as well.
More than 100 Harford County public works personnel and contractors plowed and treated roads Tuesday to prevent ice and snow from accumulating, and all county roads were passable by noon, Harford County Government said in a statement.
State highways were cleared by mid-morning of the approximately three inches of snow that fell Tuesday, according to the report.
"A combination of school, government and business closures and people heeding the warning to stay at home gave work crews an opportunity to salt, plow and clear state roads," State Highway Administrator Melinda B. Peters said. "Our job isn’t over, and we ask drivers for their continued diligence."
