Baseball players in the Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference played a Memorial Day all-star game, the first-annual postseason tournament organized by the coaches.
"The game went off without a hitch and I personally thank all the coaches who volunteered their time to make it a great evening for our senior athletes," Patterson Mill Head Baseball Coach Matt Roseland said.
The North team earned the victory 8-2.
North Harford, C. Milton Wright, Patterson Mill, North East, Fallston, Aberdeen and Perryville made up the north. Tim Larrimore of North Harford was the head coach with Joe Stetka of C. Milton Wright and Jason Gunning of Perryville as assistant coaches.
Rising Sun, Harford Tech, Bel Air, Havre De Grace, Bo Manor, Elkton and Edgewood represented the south, with Chad Blevins of Havre de Grace coaching and Paul Daniele of Harford Tech and Gary Johnson of Bo Manor assisting.
"Thanks to everyone who has helped make this another successful season of UCBAC Baseball," Roseland said. "I think we are almost 10 straight years with an UCBAC baseball team in a state championship game—that's something to be proud of about the level of baseball competition here in Harford and Cecil County."
