Harford County residents will have a chance to comment on the proposed 2014 budget during a January hearing in Aberdeen.
Harford County Executive David Craig on Monday announced plans for a Jan. 28, 2013 hearing at Aberdeen High School. The meeting regarding the FY2014 budget will begin at 6 p.m. in the school's auditorium.
Craig said the hearing was set up to allow for citizen input.
In a statement, he added that it "is an opportunity for the public to tell us what they would like to see funded or not funded in next year's budget."
Craig will attend, as will members of his cabinet and county finance officials.
The budget planning period runs from January to late March. The budget is to be presented to the Harford County Council on April 1, 2013, according to the County Executive's office.
Anyone wishing to speak is asked to arrive 30 minutes early and sign in. Individuals addressing county staff will have three minutes to comment, while those representing organizations will be given five minutes.
