SHCO Anticipating 50-Plus Dunkers

The first annual Susquehanna Hose Company Duck Dunk is set for Saturday morning.

More than 40 people have pre-registered for today's inagural .

The Susquehanna Hose Company, which benefits from the event, is anticipating more registrations Saturday morning. The original goal was 50 dunkers for the first year of the event, which challenges folks to dunk into the frigid waters at Havre de Grace's .

Susquehanna Hose Company Chief said the event will be held rain or shine ... or snow.

The dunk, itself, happens in two shifts—10 and 10:30 a.m.

A pre-dunk breakfast and registration will be held at , open to dunkers from 8 to 10 a.m. Breakfast is available to accompanying non-dunkers for $10 each.

Those wishing to dunk can arrive and register. The registration fee is $35, which can be paid for in pledge donations collected in advance.
