In all three cases, a screen was cut or a window was pushed up to access residences, police said.
- A living room screen was pushed up in the 700 block of Chesapeake Drive at 7:44 a.m. on June 28. Police said it was an attempted burglary.
- A screen was ripped in the 100 block of Wilson Street, reported at 7:02 a.m. on June 28.
- A window screen was cut around the kitchen in a residence in the 100 block of Bloomsbury Avenue, reported at 6:06 a.m. on June 28.
The suspects were also linked to a theft in the vicinity, according to police. In that incident, a 20-inch Chaos bike was stolen from a residence in the 700 block of Chesapeake Drive—a separate home from the one where the attempted burglary occurred, police said. The bike theft was reported at 8:19 a.m. on June 28.
Total loss was estimated to be less than $1,000, police said.
Officers arrested three suspects, boys who ranged in age from 14 to 16, according to police, who said they lived in the 100 block of Vancherie Court. They will not be identified since they are juveniles.
Police said the investigation was continuing.
