Mailbox Vandalism on the Rise in HdG

Five reports were filed in the past week of mailboxes being damaged.

Both the Harford County Sheriff's Office and the Havre de Grace Police Department received reports of mailboxes being vandalized in the area over the last week.

  • On the 1300 block of Currier Street, a mailbox, garbage can and street sign were struck, reported at 6:14 p.m. on Jan. 2. 
  • Mailbox vandalism in the 100 block of Spring Lake Way was reported at 10:37 a.m. on Jan. 2.
  • A mailbox and fence were reportedly vandalized in the 200 block of North Earlton Road at 10:27 a.m. on Jan. 2.
  • Multiple mailboxes were vandalized in the area of Morrison Boulevard, reported at 8:26 a.m. on Dec. 31.
  • A man was seen getting out of his vehicle and charging a mailbox in the 200 block of Canvasback Drive, reported at 12:12 a.m. on Dec. 31.
Over the last several months, there were other mailbox vandalism sprees in Havre de Grace, in October and July.
