The Havre de Grace Police Department charged a man and a woman with driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol Sunday in two separate incidents that officials said involved a boat and a foot chase.
Police charged a 22-year-old from Nottingham, PA, with DUI after the vehicle he was driving, which was towing a boat and trailer, hit a parked car in the 600 block of Market Street at 7:19 p.m. Sunday.
He was also charged with failure to control speed to avoid a collision. There was minor damage to a Chevy van, according to police.
Another driver had a mishap when police said she ran through the gate in the 1100 block of Blenheim Farm Lane around 3:11 a.m.
Police found the woman, a 25-year-old from the 1100 block of Revolution Street, running down a foot trail.
She failed a field sobriety test and was charged with DUI, according to police.
