Purse Snatched; Tires Slashed: HdG Police Blotter

The Havre de Grace Police Department provided the following information.

A wallet that had been stolen from a vehicle in the 600 block of Green Street was found on Pennington Avenue at North Stokes Street at 11:52 a.m. on Jan. 12.

A GPS was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 700 block of Lewis Street at 11:36 a.m. on Jan. 12.

A purse was stolen from Blackberry Lane at 9 p.m. on Jan. 11. A stranger grabbed the purse and ran away.

A digital camera was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 300 block of Giles Street on Jan. 10. Estimated loss was $100.


An assault was reported in the 700 block of Congress Avenue at 7:49 a.m. on Jan. 13. No further information was available.

A domestic assault between a father and child occurred in the 200 block of Whirlaway Lane at 2:31 a.m. on Jan. 11. There were no injuries, and the case was referred to the commissioner.


Tires on a gold Chevrolet Malibu were slashed in the 100 block of Stansbury Court, reported at 11:17 a.m. on Jan. 10. Police said the suspect was identified and would be paying restitution. No charges were filed.


While officers were conducting a traffic stop in the 200 block of Lewis Lane at 9:32 p.m. on Jan. 12, they made two arrests. The 23-year-old driver from Baltimore was charged with operating a vehicle on a suspended license. Her passenger, a 32-year-old from Baltimore, was arrested on a warrant through the Harford County Sheriff's Office for failing to pay child support.

A 35-year-old from Old Bay Lane in Havre de Grace was charged with DUI-related offenses after a traffic stop in the 900 block of Ontario Street at 11:27 p.m. on Jan. 10.

A 31-year-old from Port Deposit was cited for operating a vehicle on a suspended/revoked license and making false statements to an officer. Police stopped the driver at 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 10 when her vehicle was traveling the wrong way on a one-way street.

ooh we are safe while this is going on down in the city the police are too busy giving seat belt and speeding tickets on 40. So now you know if you ever need one just go a little fast on 40 u will find them.
