Bicycle Thief Busted, Bag of Marijuana Found: HdG Police

The Havre de Grace Police Department provided the following information.

A 21-year-old Havre de Grace man was charged with theft in connection with a bicycle stolen from the 100 block of Remington Circle, according to police.

At 7:54 a.m. on Wednesday, police responded to MD Route 155 at Canvasback Drive after a bike was reported stolen, the Havre de Grace Police Department reported.

The bicycle was taken from the yard of a residence in the 100 block of Remington Circle, according to Pfc. Jeff Gilpin of the Havre de Grace Police Department.

After officers were given a description of the suspect and direction he was headed, they found the bike on the side of Route 155 and saw the suspect walking in the 1100 block of Lapidum Road, police said.

The 21-year-old from the 100 block of Joehill Drive was arrested and charged with theft, according to the report.

A burglary was reported at 5:54 p.m. on Wednesday in the 700 block of Green Street. No further information was available.

A man reportedly stole a bottle of liquor from the 900 block of Pulaski Highway at 12:41 p.m. on Wednesday.

An assault was reported in the 400 block of Lewis Lane at 11:39 a.m. on Wednesday. No further information was available.

A bag of marijuana was found in the 100 block of Seneca Avenue. A citizen walking by saw it and called police at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Gilpin said.

At 5:49 a.m. on Tuesday, police responded to a verbal dispute in the 700 block of Erie Street, where a woman said her boyfriend was throwing her belongings out the window.
