UPDATED (3:39 p.m.)—The has identified the second deputy to have died in the past week.
Sgt. Ian Loughran, 43, unknowingly suffered heart attack symptoms during Wednesday and died early Thursday morning at his home, the sheriff's office said in a news release Thursday afternoon.

In the news release, Harford County Sheriff Jesse Bane said: "Yesterday I spoke of a new star in the heavens when speaking of Charles Licato, today it seems a second star now joins him."
Loughran was a 16-year veteran of the department. Most recently, he was assigned to the Police Services Bureau, Patrol Division in the Northern Precinct.
He is survived by a wife and one child, the Sheriff's Office said.
It's the fourth law enforcement death in a week in Harford County.
