UPDATE: Child Stabilized After Accident Near I-95 Edgewood Exit

The accident took place around 5 a.m. Monday.

UPDATE: (1:23 p.m.)—A serious car crash in Edgewood left a child in grave condition Monday morning, fire officials said.

As of 12:49 p.m., the child had been stabilized and transferred to a regional pediatric center, according to an update on the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association's Facebook page.

Shortly before 5 a.m. an Abingdon woman lost control of her Toyota Camry while merging onto northbound Interstate 95 from Maryland Route 24 in Edgewood, according to a release from Maryland State Police with the JFK Highway Barrack.

The Camry hit the side of a tractor trailer, spun into the guardrail and stopped in the second lane of traffic, where it was hit by a Cadillac DTS, the release states.

The Abingdon woman and her two children—both under age 18—were taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment, according to the release.

The driver of the tractor trailer, Bryant Williams of Petersburg, VA, was not injured in the crash. John P. Dobson of West Grove, PA, who was driving the Cadillac, received minor injuries and was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview for treatment, according to state police.

Four medic units from Abingdon and Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Companies responded to the crash, according to a separate post on the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association's Facebook page.

I-95 northbound was closed to traffic as a result of the crash, according to state police.

also stop listening to the news. Everything you hear on the news is not true. It's what's wrong with our world today. I had the correct info from the beginning as you can see no one debated me on it from the family in my last comment on how it all went down.

One of them is in the hospital and cannot obviously respond and the other parent did, the father. You have a lot "Internet Courage", I bet your a little more shy in person and mindful of your words in person, and the only person talking Bull $h!# is you Gabriel. So since the father has spoken, family and friends have spoken I suggest you crawl under a rock before Karma has its way with you.
