At its , the Havre de Grace City Council will introduce two potential projects that would alter traffic patterns in town.
The council is likely to suggest, via a proclamation tonight, that Bayview Drive be closed at MD Route 155. The six members seemed unanimous after that the road would be closed at the intersection, rather than keeping it open in one direction. Poor visibility is a major factor for the change, which is being coupled with lane changes being made to Route 155 by the state.
City Council will also discuss changes to the traffic pattern in the 800 block of Erie Street, which has been closed to all but local traffic while Hatem Bridge has been under construction. Erie Street, prior to its closure, had long been utilized as a short-cut to access eastbound Route 40.
There are plenty of other spots in Havre de Grace where roads converge with physical obstacles, unique traditions and safety concerns.
We want to hear from you.
