Patricia Cora Hawkins died Jan. 9. She was 85. A funeral service will be held at Lisa Scott Funeral Home on Jan. 13. Interment will be at Berkley Cemetery in Darlington.

Gloria Patricia Brown died Jan. 7. She was 70. The Havre de Grace resident was born in Baltimore and passed away at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, according to her obituary. A graveside service was held Jan. 10 at Parkwood Cemetery in Baltimore.

John T. McDonald died Jan. 7. He was 61. The Belcamp resident was born in Havre de Grace; graduated from John Carroll and Towson State; and worked in construction and the National Guard, according to his obituary. A memorial service was held at Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home on Jan. 11.

Helen "Teresa" Bittner died Jan. 6. She was 90. The Port Deposit woman was at Citizens Care recovering from a fractured hip when she passed away, according to her obituary, which stated that she had was an active volunteer whose pursuits ranged from her membership in the Water Witch Ladies Auxiliary to baking "delectable peanut butter fudge." In her professional career, which spanned more than 60 years, Bittner was a secretary at Aberdeen Proving Ground and Good Shepherd Church in Perryville, her obituary stated. A funeral service was held Jan. 11 at Good Shepherd Church with interment at Brookview Cemetery in Rising Sun.

Eldridge Harry "Rick" Young Jr. died Jan. 6. He was 56. The Havre de Grace man enjoyed playing pool and riding his motorcycle, according to his obituary. A funeral service was held at Zellman Funeral Home on Jan. 11.

Shirley Ann Barnes died Jan. 2. She was 68. The Abingdon resident was born in Baltimore County, retired after a career in retail and enjoyed collecting state spoons and bowling, according to her obituary. Her funeral service was held Jan. 9 at Zellman Funeral Home. Interment was at Holly Hill Cemetery in Baltimore. 

James William Brubaker died Jan. 2. He was 80. He was born in Ohio and resided in Havre de Grace. His grandson lives in Havre de Grace, according to his obituary.

Virginia Lee Colburn died Jan. 2. She was 96. A descendant of John O'Neill, she had a storied career as an editor with the Havre de Grace Record and as a book reviewer for the Richmond Times-Dispatch, her obituary stated. Colburn was also very involved in Havre de Grace through the Lock House Museum, Concord Point Lighthouse and Grace Reformed Episcopal Church, according to her obituary. A funeral service was held Jan. 8 at Grace Reformed Episcopal Church, with interment at Angel Hill Cemetery.

James Albert Page died Jan. 2. He was 81. The Perryville native served in the U.S. Army in Germany, worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground's ballistics laboratory as a carpenter and was a member of the Susquehanna American Legion Post Number 135, according to his obituary. A memorial service will be held Jan. 12 at the Susquehanna American Legion Post Number 135.
