Don Osman without a doubt should certainly have this award.

Jess Bousa....New to the community, but making a huge difference in HdG....

Don Osman. Even though I am relatively new to HDG, I have experienced personally how unselfish mr Don is, how much he tries to help the community and the things he has done with the kids of the high school through SMILES to better themselves and others. I am grateful to have met him and I can't think of anybody else more deserving for this award.

Jess Bousa, There are plenty of reasons deserving people are nominated "Person of the Year", but the reason someone is chosen is because that person has made the most significant impact on our community. Jess Bousa has headed up countless events that can all take credit for amazing impact, but whats so much more important than his ability to do is his ability to motivate. If one person can make such an incredible difference than can we imagine what would happen if you could help people without a purpose pay it forward? Isn't that truly what we want for our community, is to work together to help each other? Jess Bousa has changed so many lives including my families by allowing us to be helped and by teaching us to help others. The Good Cause Foundation founded and headed up by Jess, provided when we fell through the cracks and allowed us to turn our blessings into our neighbors blessings. I Hope that through evaluating all your more than worthy candidates that the question will arise, did they make a positive impact on our community or did they teach our community how to make a positive impact? One will outlast the other, and Jess Bousa has a vision for HVDG that is bigger than a single person or event. If that can be appreciated your appreciating more than just one person!

Jess Bousa has made an impact on HvG unlike any others, being the director of Good Cause Foundation, www.serveagoodcause.org he is readily available to those in need in our community whether it is, Christmas with a Cause, with this children in need receive gifts, Spa day for single moms, this program brought in 50 single and needy moms for a day off pampering, Baby Swap day, this program is held every few months and brings together those who are in need to the good Cause Community Center and allows them to shop for baby – up to teen clothes, strollers, and endless other stuff that is needed for free, plus many more programs and the day to day helping that he provides in our local community, also being the lead pastor at Restore Church, www.restorechurch.net, he has created an environment that allows all individuals off different backgrounds to come together and worship, with the core value of the church believing that we can change the world one person at a time, which in turn will change the world for the better over time. He believes generosity is a way of life. Starting a generosity movement is the result of regular, not only random, acts of kindness in our community. As we raise awareness of our communities needs and connect people to them, generosity emerges. Therefore, as generosity increases in our community, the needs of the community will decrease. That is not only who Good Cause is but also in the DNA of Restore Church!

Jess Bousa...tireless efforts towards making a positive impact on as many areas of life in HdeG as possible. Making Christmas gifts a possibility for the families of over 175 children!! That right there would be a clincher in my book...and thats not mentioning the hundreds of other evenys and activities made possible by this amazing soul fueled by God and coffee! Good Cause and Restore Church have brought back a lot of hope and faith in this community, both of which I, and this area, desperately needed!!!!

Karen Green, the unsung hero of Havre de Grace. Many residents have little idea what she means to the quality of life in this City. Virtually every Activity or Event that we enjoy has been touched and assisted by Karen. Her job is with Parks and Rec, her impact is so much wider. Karen never accepts the spotlight, that is not her style. She only cares about making the City better for everyone. Through her current health concerns Karen can still be found in her office working for the Citizens of Havre de Grace. Karen Green deserves to be Person of the Year.

Good Luck Pastor Jess Bousa

Bobby Goll Jr. He has certainly proven his dedication to the citizens of Havre de Grace. Through his service with the Susquehanna Hose Company, he has consistently made himself available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for many years. All as a volunteer. Remember the volunteers when you cast your vote.

Jess Bousa may not have the history of others but he could win the award for the newest member of HdG person of the year! What he has done in his short time of being here is amazing! Serving 100's of people through Good Cause and through his personal life! His story of coming from addiction has touched many lives & motivated countless people to become sober and live productive lives. His passion for the community is evidenced any time you talk to him! Not only is he a pastor, director of Good Cause, he is an author and speaker!

Don Osman has my vote. He has been a mainstay for immunity service in this town for many, many years. He deserves to be recognised though he doesn't do anything for the recognition. One word: Selfless. Thanks, Don, for being an example of how Christ wants us to serve others. Because of you, my daughter is getting involved in her community. Don't ever quit.

Don Osman. For the past two years I have had the fortunate opportunity to work with Don thru the Rotary and SMILES organization..Through teaching and example he is showing others the love of service and helping our fellow man..

This is a hard one I know both of these people Jess Bousa, and Don Osmond. Could there be two persons of the year? Mr. Osmond for many years has done so much in our town and for the School. Jess is new to the area yet has done an awesome work in the community. God Bless them Both

I would endorse several persons of the year. Don Osman is a man for all seasons and has a strong history with the community for personal giving and leadership. John Narvell has quietly headed the Havre de Grace Recreation Committe for over 35 years and provided recreational programs for thousands each year. Jess Bousa is a newcomer who saw a gap in services and has worked like MacGyver to make things happen with a shoe string and a safety pin. I believe we are blessed to have so many worthy candidates and to be the direct benficiaries of their efforts. Regardless of voting results, they are dedicated citizens who will continue to give freely, sharing their talents and time to enhance our lives and the world with their selfless contributions. Also, there can never be enough kudos for our volunteer firefighters and EMT's and the support auxiliaries, Glorious greetings to all and rest assured that the gifts these people are presenting to you are from the heart. Don't let the praise end with the voting. If you see any of these people, say "Thank you". It means a lot.

Thank you for your kind words. I am flattered. I believe that the award should go to a true volunteer. I love my job and I love being involved, but John Narvell and Don Osman are volunteers who are paid only by your gratitude. These are the desrving souls who should be recognized and they are a major part of my support system. I am not in the same category of either of them in the pure sense of giving. Please continue to support them and their efforts and tell them you appreciate their good deeds.

Jess Bousa, hands down. He is among many stars in Havre de Grace but, in my opinion, his shines brightest! His passion and heart to serve his community, faith in God and love of humanity fuels his tireless drive to powerfully impact people's lives, no strings attached! He has truly made HdG a better community since he has been a part of it... And he has only just begun!!!
